The Wever Community Hub provides a welcoming and supportive gathering space for all Wever residents and serves as an access point for a wide range of community programs, activities, events and services. It is formed by Norman 'Pinky' Lewis Recreation Centre together with nearby Cathy Wever Elementary School. The Hub is a nerve-centre that connects Wever children, youth and families with each other and with the City community around them.
We work with public institutions and community partners to ensure Wever children, teens and families have barrier-free access to quality community recreation programming that promote well being and the development of skills that increase chances of success in school and work. We actively engage community residents and provide unconditional support as they overcome significant obstacles to participation in healthy community life.
